All-On-Four® Dental ImplantsAn Overview
At the office D. Bradley Dean, DDS, near Dallas, TX, Dr. Dean offers the All-on-Four dental implant procedure. This new technique offers the benefits of dental implants for patients who need to replace most or all of their missing teeth that also saves time and money. People come to Dr. Dean if they are missing most of their teeth. Gum disease is the number one cause for tooth loss in adults and has been linked to a number of other major health risks including stroke, heart disease and diabetes.
The All-on-Four dental implant denture procedure is best suited for replacing the lower set of missing teeth. Typically, placing dental implants on the lower jaw is difficult due to anatomical insufficiencies and location of nerves. All-on-4 places dental implants on an angle, avoiding these areas and eliminating the need for bone grafting thus saving time for healing and money.
One of the biggest challenges facing people with missing teeth is going without their bridgework or dentures. Other concerns are eating and speaking comfortably. Most denture wearers tell us that they don’t smile as much as they used to because they’re afraid the dentures will slip, or that others will notice their dentures. The use of dental implants has developed in recent years to offer new techniques to address a larger number of patients with missing teeth and poor fitting dentures.
What are All-on-Four Dental Implants?
The All-on-Four technique uses as few as four strategically placed dental implants that will secure a cosmetic denture for a functional and stable smile. This unique treatment approach can bring back full function without the need for daily maintenance, dietary restriction and garbled speech that often accompany traditional dentures. All-on-Four dental implants are a revolutionary type of dental implant procedure that maximizes the use of available bone. Dr. Bradley Dean is a highly trained periodontist with years of experience providing quality results from the comfort of our Dallas dentist office.

All-On-Four® Dental Implants What to Expect
About the All-on-Four Procedure
The first phase of your treatment is the treatment planning at our Dallas dentist office. Dr. Dean will use 3D CAT Scanning and Cone Beam Scanner to determine the precise angle and location of the implants. This technique will take advantage of the healthy bone tissue for a secure, lasting result. Dr. Dean will also create molds of the mouth by taking impressions. These are used to fabricate a dental restoration that will be attached to the implants.
On the day of your procedure, Dr. Dean will remove the necessary teeth that are damaged, decayed, or compromised in a comfortable operatory setting using sedation dentistry. Next, Dr. Dean will place around 4 dental implants depending on the patient’s needs and specific circumstances. A temporary dental restoration will be secured to the dental implants to restore esthetics and function.
The dental implants will take about 3-6 to heal and then you will return to our Dallas periodontist dentist office. When the dental implants are fully integrated with the jaw bone, the temporary bridge will be removed and the final, permanent, custom designed dental restoration will be secured.
All-on-Four will enable you to enjoy the best possible quality of life and confidence in your smile. No slipping, no discomfort and no maintenance.
